Well, today is my last day in London.
When I first got here I wanted to turn around and run out the door. It's been a real growing and learning experience for me these past few months and I'm glad I stuck it out for the whole time. There were moments where I thought I couldn’t take another day living here and I wanted to give up. There were times when Jeff and I were at each other’s throats, but we’ve grown to be better friends and overall I’m satisfied with the time I spent here.
I got to see a real renaissance fair inside Warwick Castle and hike the cliffs of Dover here in England, I climbed to the top of the Eiffel Tower in France, I got to go to a wine tasting event and take a river cruise in Germany, I hung out in Belgium, and met some incredibly friendly people in Scotland. Those are only a few things I got to experience in the short time I had, and my pictures can explain a whole lot more than I can ever type in one blog.
In the time I spent here I made friends, I lost some friends, old friends I care very dearly about came back into my life, I nearly lost a friend forever that I am so thankful to God that I didn’t lose, I became better a better friend to others, and most importantly I became much closer to my family than I ever knew possible.
My outlook on life has really been enriched by these past few months. I understand the world a whole lot more and I understand myself more as well. I’m no longer afraid to ask for help, I’m more confident about traveling, I’m more confident with finding my way around on my own, and I’m no longer afraid of taking those pivotal next steps in life. The time I spent here helped me figure out what it is I really want to do with my life, and by next year I will be moving to Tampa to pursue what I hope to accomplish in life and I will be living with someone who has grown to be a very large and exciting part of my life. It’s almost indescribable at the moment.
Honestly, there are so many stories to tell and so many things to say, but I don’t know how to put it into words. I hope that when I get home I can share everything with you all. I’m excited to be coming home, not as a new person, but a better person.
Well, now I must go finish packing and prepare for the long flight home. I love you all and hope to see you very soon.
